This seminar is aimed at improving the participant’s ability to develop and manage high-performing teams through effective design and development. We will evaluate the characteristics of high-performing teams; study the optimal team composition; introduce methods of monitoring the stages of team growth; demonstrate the development of strategies for effective group decision making; introduce methods of developing a team-focused organizational culture; work on techniques for managing cross-boundary collaboration; demonstrate methods for managing cooperation and conflict within and across teams; focus on team leadership; and review the techniques of evaluating and rewarding team performance. We will also discuss how organizations can foster innovation, strategic decision making, and cross-functional synergies through the use of teams. The seminar emphasizes both theory and application/skill-building, using a variety of teaching methods.
