The purpose of the Empowerment Workshop is to support participants in expanding their capacity to create positive behavior change by working directly with their own vision and goals. The training is based on the premise that our thoughts and beliefs create the conditions of our life; if we desire to bring about changes in our life, we need to change our beliefs engaging both our hearts and mind. The course emphasizes self-awareness and self-reflection, the two key components in developing leadership. The workshop focuses on developing emotional Intelligence, building assertive communication skills, resolving conflict and influencing others.
The workshop helps the participant use their values and strengths to discover what is uniquely meaningful and what steps they can take to influence outcomes. It cultivates the ability to adapt quickly and work with others to achieve desired results.
The workshop incorporates multiple learning styles. Much of the time is devoted to experiential learning.
Length of Course: 4-day
The training is divided into 4 one-day modules. The format is flexible and can be adapted to better suit the organization’s needs.
Minimum number of participants: 10 participants
Maximum number of participants: 25 participants
Support Materials: A training book will be provided containing copies of the course materials and readings. This requires use of the Office Assistant/Program Coordinator’s time.
